The Decatur Police Department received a call just before 5:00 P.M. on February 3, 2020 stating that the driver of a Winston County Sheriff's Department Tahoe was driving recklessly. When Officer David Craig arrived at the location, he saw the Tahoe run several red lights before he was able to catch up and attempt a traffic stop. The stolen Tahoe crashed into another vehicle and a light pole before coming to a stop. The driver has been identified as inmate Wesley David Aldridge. Aldridge was also charged with reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription drugs, improper lane usage, speeding, driving while revoked, and no turn signal. Aldridge was booked into the Morgan County Jail in lieu of $203,000 bond.
